GAIGHAT, Dec. 14: Two persons were killed and six others have sustained serious injuries in a tractor accident that occurred at Balamta of Lingpinggud Rural Municipality-4 in Udayapur district last night.
According to local resident Chudamani Rai, tractor driver Sunil Rai, 22, and Pawan Rai, 25, of Balamta village died in the accident. Likewise, Bishwa Rai, Punam Rai, Sabina Rai, Soni Rai, Bunu Rai and Manisha Rai were injured in the accident that happened after the tractor (Sa 43 Pa 2373) fell some 25 off the road while trying to save pedestrian Pawan Rai, eyewitness Chudamani said.

The injured persons are rushed to Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar for further treatment from the District Hospital, Gaighat.
