Two killed in road accident in Sarlahi

MALANGAWA, Dec 26: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Sarlahi last night. A woman died after she was knocked down by a bicycle while a man died in a motorbike accident, according to Sarlahi Police.

MALANGAWA, Dec 26: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Sarlahi last night. A woman died after she was knocked down by a bicycle while a man died in a motorbike accident, according to Sarlahi Police.


Saiful Khatun, 55, who was seriously injured after a bicycle hit her while crossing the road at Laxmipur, Haripur Municipality-6 on the Malangawa-Nawalpur road section, died during treatment at Janakpur at 9.30 PM on Saturday. Police have taken the cyclist under control.

Similarly, 57-year-old Bhim Bahadur Gurung of Lalbandi Municipality-7, who was riding a motorcycle (Na 34 Pa 7021), died after a vehicle knocked the motorcycle in the Banke forest on the East-West highway, according to Sarlahi District Police Office Spokesperson Madhav Prasad Budhathoki. Gurung was rushed to the District Hospital Malangawa for treatment soon after the accident but the doctors pronounced him dead.
