Two killed, 14 injured in Doti jeep accident

DOTI, Nov 27: Two people were killed while 14 others sustained injuries when a jeep carrying members of a wedding party met with an accident at Jhansi, Latamandau VDC in the district last night. Among the injured, two are said to be in critical condition. 

The jeep (Se 1 Ja 747) was coming to Latamandu from Kaffalleki VDC in the district and carrying the bride and the bridegroom, and the members of the wedding party, according to District Police Office, Doti. 

Those killed in the accident are 30-year-old Biri Tamrakar of Latamandau VDC-2 and 45-year-old Gauri Shankar Nepali of Jijaumandu VDC-8, police said. Both died in course of treatment, it is stated.

The critically injured, Suresh Kunwar, 12, from Latamandau VDC-2 has been taken to Bareili, India for treatment and the 28-year-old Tara Nepali to the Padma Hospital, Attariya, Kailali district for treatment. RSS
