Chemjong was returning from one Rajendra Tumsanwa´s wedding in Khaireni of Hamarjung-1 in Tehrathum district. Chemjong drowned while bathing in the river at 3 p.m. on Saturday, his nephew Santosh Limbus said. Khagendra Chemjong of Lokfadin in Maunabudhuk-7 was also injured while trying to rescue Chemjong.
Likewise, a Young Communist League cadre also went missing after drowning in the Kaligandaki River in Palpa district on Sunday.
Ganesh Basnet, 18, of Simichaur, Gulmi drowned while taking bath in the river, police said. Basnet had gone to Gejha VDC in eastern Palpa for work.
