Two dead and five injured in road accidents

MAKWANPUR, Dec 16: Two people died while five others were injured in three different accidents in Makawanpur.


A bike collided with a truck parked near Lothar, Hetauda Narayangadh section killing Harish Chandra Upreti, 40 of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-19, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Indra Bahadur Rana at District Police Office, Makwanpur. The bike was heading towards Hetauda from Chitwan and met with an accident due to over speed.

Police have stated that the deceased breathed his last while being rushed to hospital for treatment. Upreti was the rider of the bike.


Similarly, a tipper accident has left three persons injured in the district. According to the Makwanpur Police, all the injured persons are laborers. 


The tipper carrying limestone was heading towards Hetauda and had fallen down 30 meters off the road. All the injured are being treated at Churehill Hospital at Thana Bharyang after receiving primary treatment from Bhimphedi Health Center. Police have said that both accidents are being investigated.


Another tipper accident that occurred in Achham district has killed the tipper driver. Chief of District Police Office, Achham DSP Yogendra Singh Thapa said the deceased has been identified as a 35-year old Prakash Chaudhary of Kailali district. Two other persons have been injured in the accident. Police said they have been sent to Kailali for further treatment. The ill-fated vehicle was heading from Gairitada to Binayak. According to the Traffic Police Office, Achham, the tipper fell down 500 meters off the road.
