KAWASOTI, Aug 8: A woman has been rescued when she attempted to commit suicide with her two offspring by jumping off the bridge over the Narayani River at Chhata Chowk in Binayi Triveni rural municipality in Nawalparasi (East).

However, her two children have died. They have been identified as 2.5-year-old Abhinath Biswakarma and 1.5-month-old Nikita Bishwakarma.
Mother Sudha Bishwakrma, 24, who was rescued by the locals has been apprehended by the police, Police Inspector at District Police Office in Nawalparasi (East) Rajendra Adhikari informed.
Inspector Adhikari told Republica online that an investigation into the incident is underway.
