Indian Embassy defeated Sanima Bikash Bank by 25 runs and Kantipur Group by four wickets in the super league round at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Indian Embassy restricted Kantipur to 76/3 in five overs and reached 81/2 in 4.5 overs.[break] Likewise, the embassy put up 98 runs in five overs losing four wickets against Sanima, who could collect only 73 runs in five overs without losing any wicket.
Though Kantipur lost to the embassy, they made it to the quarterfinals after defeating KIST Bank by two wickets. KIST put up 66 runs in five overs losing five wickets. Kantipur met the target in 4.3 overs.
Surya Nepal defeated Bank of Asia by three wickets while Laxmi Bank beat NCell by two wickets. However, Bank of Asia, who beat NCell on Tuesday, qualified for the quarterfinals because of net run rate.
In the other super league matches, Citizens Bank beat Bank of Kathmandu by four runs while Standard Chartered Bank thrashed International Development Bank by five wickets.
Nepal SBI Bank defeated NIC Bank by five wickets and KIST Bank eased past Sanima Bikash Bank by 22 runs.
