Two arrested with kinetic stones

SURKHET, Oct 7: District Police Office, Surkhet has arrested Ram Krishna Gharti, 32, of Neware and Jayadhani Basnet of Narayan Tol of Birendranagar-12 with kinetic stones on the basis of tip-off they received earlier.

According to DSP Ram Prasad Gharti, Spokesperson of the District Police Office Surkhet, they were arrested while trading in kinetic stones at Basnet's house. “19 kg 40 grams of kinetic stone has been recovered from Basnet's house,” he said.

The market value of these stones is around Rs 200,000. Both the arrested have been sent to the Department of Mines and Geology, Surkhet for further action.
