Two arrested for fraudulent promises of foreign employment in Poland

Krishna collected Rs 7,248,150, while Rajesh took Rs 8,90,000 from various victims with promises of sending them to Poland for foreign employment, before disappearing.

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Two individuals have been arrested for cheating people by falsely claiming they would arrange employment in Poland.


The arrested suspects are Krishna Yadubanshi, 31, from Bishnupur Rural Municipality-7, Saptari, and Rajesh Baram, 37, from Gorkha. Krishna collected Rs 7,248,150, while Rajesh took Rs 8,90,000 from various victims with promises of sending them to Poland for foreign employment, before disappearing.

After receiving complaints from the victims, a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended Krishna in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31 and Rajesh in Teku, Kathmandu. Both have been transferred to the District Police Range for further legal action.
