Two arrested along with fake Rs 1,000 notes in Rautahat

KATHMANDU, July 26: Police have arrested two individuals in possession of counterfeit Nepali currency. A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Chandranigahpur, arrested two individuals on Thursday at around 9:45 PM.

KATHMANDU, July 26: Police have arrested two individuals in possession of counterfeit Nepali currency. A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Chandranigahpur, arrested two individuals on Thursday at around 9:45 PM.


The arrested individuals have been identified as Najare Aalam, 32, and Imamul Hak Darji, 24, both residents of Godaita Municipality-8, Sarlahi. Aliza Giri, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Rautahat, said that 13 counterfeit notes of the Rs 1000 denomination were seized from them.

They were arrested near the Mahaveer Oil Stores Petrol Pump operated by Rajkumar Mahatao in Balchanpur, Chandrapur Municipality-10.  Police have also taken control of their motorcycle (Ba Pra 02-021 Pa 6368).
