Tusal, Satdobato win

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Tusal Youth Club registered its second win of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League to stay unbeaten as it thrashed Khumaltar Youth Club 7-2 in Lalitpur on Friday.


At the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex in Satdobato, a hat-trick from Alon Rai helped Tusal register a big-margin with and was supported by a brace from Manish Sedhain and a goal each from Karan Rawat and Sashil Kumar Thapa.  Sedhain put Tusal in front in the 16th minute, while Rai scored his first of the game in the fourth minute of the first half injury time leading the game 2-0.

Rawat became the third scorer in the game for Tusal as he scored in the 59th minute, while two goals in the space of two minutes completed Rai’s hat-trick. Thapa completed the rout scoring the seventh for the team in the 88th minute.


With the win, Tusal now has seven points from three games, while Khumaltar, losing all three games, and is yet to register a single point in the match.


Two second half goals from Satdobato Youth Club sealed a 2-1 comeback win over Jhamsikhel Youth Club to register its second win of the tournament to stay unbeaten in the league.  Mani Kumar Rai gave Jhamsikhel the lead in the 20th minute, but a penalty goal from Prithivi Chaudhary in the 50th and the winning goal in the 86th minute from Bhuwan Basnet sealed a brilliant Satdobato win.


With the win, Satdobato now has seven points from three matches.
