Turkish national arrested with INR 96,000 at TIA

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The police have arrested a Turkish national with INR 96,000 from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The police have arrested a Turkish national with INR 96,000 from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).


According to SSP Krishnahari Sharma Pokhrel, on Thursday at 11:30 AM, illegal Indian currency worth INR 96,000 was seized from Abdullah Mia who arrived at the TIA from the UAE.

On Wednesday, two Pakistani nationals were arrested with foreign currency amounting to nearly Rs 1 million. 


According to police sources, all arrested in connection with currency related offenses will be sent to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation for further investigation and legal action.
