TU concerned about resignation

KIRTIPUR, Aug 19: Tribhuvan University is planning to ensure the withdrawal of resignation of campus chiefs of 10 different colleges in the Valley who quit over a row over the fees of bachelor’s second year and master’s level students.



Following the fee controversy and students’ pressure, the chiefs had quit en masse saying that there is no environment for work in the colleges.[break]



After the resignation, the university has started discussion with the chiefs on addressing their concerns.



Vice Chancellor of the TU Prof Dr Madhav Prasad Sharma said he has taken the campus chiefs’ concerns very seriously. He said the row over the fees will be settled and the university is trying to ensure withdrawal of the resignation of campus chiefs.
