KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Tribhuvan University (TU) has closed all regular services of all campuses and started work from home. TU, which had postponed all examinations as well as closed teaching learning activities from March 24 due to COVID-19, has decided to close regular services of all campuses across the nation including central office till August 31 from today after the increased risk of coronavirus infection.
Chief of Information and Public Relations Division of TU, Surya Prasad Adhikari, said that all campuses have been directed to carry out work from home following a surge in coronavirus infection across the country.
He shared that arrangement has been made for TU’s office-bearers, teachers, employees to work from home while remaining in contact with the chiefs of their sections, and the campus chief should make arrangements for running online, virtual classes.
TU had resumed all services except teaching learning activities and examinations after the relaxation of the lockdown. It has now closed all services after coronavirus infection started increasing across the nation including in the Kathmandu Valley. The TU had also made preparation to conduct examination after the situation started turning to normalcy.
