Truck-hit kills two scooter-born women

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Two women riding a scooter on Friday died after being hit by a truck near Ganga Movie Hall in Balaju.

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: Two women riding a scooter on Friday died after being hit by a truck near Ganga Movie Hall in Balaju.



According to police, the deceased are identified as scooter driver Rina Kumari Rai, 38,of Manohari, Makawanpur district and pillion rider Soniya Thapa, 30, of Dhading.

Seriously injured Rai died while being rushed to a hospital while Thapa breathed her last in the course of treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.  


The truck driver is at large. The police are searching him.
