KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The meeting among the government, opposition party and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) ended without any major breakthrough.

UDMF leader Upendra Yadav said that the meeting ended after the ruling parties failed to come up with concrete proposals on their 11-point demands. He also said that the UDMF is against the Nepali Congress (NC) idea to forward bill related to reconstruction authority and constitution amendment together.

"The meeting could not discuss on issues related to demarcation of the provinces," Yadav added.

The meeting was not attended by the NC leaders. Meanwhile, Narayankaji Shrestha of UCPN (Maoist) had represented the party. Mahanta Thakur and Yadav, among others, were present from the UDMF.
