KATHMANDU, July 3: Trendsetters, the fashion event started by Vootoo Entertainment is taking a big 18 city leap. Earlier, limited to Kathmandu, the event from this year is being taken to various cities in Nepal as well. While it has successfully hosted shows in Biratnagar and Birgunj, it will be going to two more cities, Dhangadi and Chitwan this month.

“Every year, there will be two events in Kathmandu, spring/summer event in March or April and fall/winter event in September. Today, we’ll be auditioning for models who will become part of Trendsetters,” informed Sanjay Gupta, co-founder of Vootoo Entertainment.[break]

The audition for Trendsetters took place at Hotel Annapurna in Durbarmarg on Tuesday. Media personalities and former ‘Miss Nepal’s, Sahana Vajracharya and Malvika Subba were the judges at the audition, screening over 100 male and female models who want to be a part of Trendsetters.

“We will be choosing 24 female and eight male models for our Kathmandu shows whereas, 12 female models will also be signed a one-year contract with Trendsetters and they will be going to the 18 cities,” informed co-founder Ashutosh Shrestha.

Trendsetters promote Nepali designers and their designs and currently have Nepal’s nine renowned fashion labels including Astik Designs, Bishwo Gautam, GABI, and Suruchira on board.
