DHADING, Dec 2: The two-day national meeting of treasurers from Nepali Congress has concluded with 18-point Dhading Declaration at Gajuri rural municipality. The meeting dwelt into the current political scenario of the country and the upcoming Mahasamiti meeting.
The meeting has also identified suggestions to be presented during the Mahasamiti meeting and statute amendment. "The meeting has urged everyone to defend democratic values at a time when the government is increasingly turning authoritarian," Babu Krishna Sapkota, national vice chairperson and Dhading's treasurer said adding that they'd submit the 18 point declaration to the District Party Office then publicize it.

The meeting has decided that the party would stand tall against the government's attack on democratic values, the judicial system, unwanted interventions in businesses and political impunity to criminals.
The meeting also criticized the government for taking ownership of the Social Security Fund despite the fact that it had been the Nepali Congress which had taken the lead. The participants also condemned the government's actions of scrapping or altering development programs in a biased way.
