Kathmandu, Sept 1: Small passenger vehicles traveling on the Hetauda-Kathmandu road will have to use different routes for their outbound and return journeys from today due to increased traffic pressure.
According to the local administration, vehicles with fewer than 14 seats traveling toward Kathmandu will use the Bhimphedi, Kulekhani, Sisneri and Dakshinkali route. Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu to Hetauda will have to use the Farping, Phakhel, Kulekhani and Bhimphedi route.

According to Santosh Subedi, administrative officer at the District Administration Office, Makwanpur, cargo vehicles and large passenger vehicles heading to Kathmandu must use the Tribhuvan Rajpath, while those returning must use the Kanti Highway.
Traffic pressure on the Hetauda-Kathmandu route has increased after the road was blocked at Krishnabhir in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway.
The new arrangement is expected to ease congestion on alternative routes and reduce the time vehicles spend stuck in traffic.
