LAMJUNG, July 3: The Lamjung section of the Besisahar-Chame road stretch, which has been blocked since Tuesday evening due to landslides triggered by incessant rains at various places, has come into operation.
According to the District Police Office, traffic operation has resumed on the road after landslide debris at Kharkhare of Lamjung Besisahar-6 and Gopaldanda of Marshyangdi Rural Municipality-9 were removed this morning.
Police Inspector Thaneshwor Chapai said that vehicular traffic resumed after the landslide debris was removed from the place and water level in the Octopus Falls dropped.
Although traffic on the Lamjung section has resumed, the Manang section is still obstructed. Vehicular movement has not resumed so far after the Timang rivulet washed away a wooden bridge at Chame Rural Municipality-1 on Tuesday night.
