Toyota celebrates 50 years in Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 31: United Traders Syndicate (UTS), the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles for Nepal, celebrated its 50th anniversary in the country on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, March 31: United Traders Syndicate (UTS), the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles for Nepal, celebrated its 50th anniversary in the country on Thursday. 


To mark the occasion, it organized a grand inauguration of Toyota’s new state of the art 3S (Sales, Service, Spare) facility in its newly-constructed VOITH Complex in Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.

“The showroom was jointly inaugurated by Suraj Vaidhya, president of UTS, Ritu Singh Vaidhya, managing director of UTS, and Hiroyuki Fukui, president of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pvt Ltd (TMAP). On the occasion, the community park built by UTS was also inaugurated which was later followed by a tree plantation program,” the company said in a press statement. 


The company also held ‘VOITH Spirit of Excellence- 2017’, where personalities and organizations from education, health and media sectors where felicitated. 


According to UTS, Suresh Raj Sharma and an organization named ‘Teach for Nepal’ were felicitated for their contribution to the field of education. 


Sanduk Ruit and an organization named ‘Possible’ were felicitated for their contribution to the health sector, while Nir shah, Manoj Pandey and Charu Chaddha were felicitated for their contribution to the media sector. 


Toyota also launched two new vehicles -- the All New Innova Crysta and the All New Fortuner -- in Nepal to mark the anniversary.
