Tourists from 46 countries flock to Ramaroshan in Achham

ACHHAM, Sept 28: Ramaroshan, a tourist destination in Achham, is full of tourists from various 46 countries. The tourists have reached here under a group called World Rainbow Family to visit Ramaroshan for three months.

ACHHAM, Sept 28: Ramaroshan, a tourist destination in Achham, is full of tourists from various 46 countries. The tourists have reached here under a group called World Rainbow Family to visit Ramaroshan for three months. 


They also participated in a Deuda dance and other cultural programs organized by the Tourism Sector Development Committee on the occasion of World Tourism Day. The rural municipality’s Chairman Bahadur Saud welcomed the tourists. The inflow of tourists has created the publicity of the village, he said.

Tourists are given permission to visit Ramaroshan without conditions, he said. Foreign tourists who have come here to visit are staying in tents in the open. Ramaroshan is named after two brothers, Rame and Roshan, according to legends. Some people say that it is named Ramaroshan because Lord Shiva and goddess Parbati lived in the area.


Ramaroshan Lake located in Ramaroshan Rural Municipality-6 is also known as 'Barha Banda, Aathara Khanda'. Bahra Banda means 12 lakes and Aathara Khanda stands for 18 lawns.


The alpine meadows and blooming flowers are the attractions of Ramaroshan. Birds such as Lophophorus and crimson horned pheasant, musk deer and Himalayan tahr are spotted here.
