Tourism minister directs PADT to halt evacuation of Gaushala Dharamshala

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has sent a letter to the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), asking the latter to halt the evacuation of the Gaushala Dharamshala.

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has sent a letter to the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), asking the latter to halt the evacuation of the Gaushala Dharamshala.


The ministry has written a letter to the PADT to stop the evacuation of the Gaushala Dharamshala until further decision.

Similarly, the PADT has asked for arrangements to ensure peace and security. The ministry’s letter mentioned that the current situation has caused security concerns in the Pashupatinath area, and therefore, it has requested that the process of vacating the Gaushala Dharamshala be halted until further decisions.


The PADT had written a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs on October 9, seeking security.
