KATHMANDU, Nov 2: The meeting of top brass leaders of UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) held in a house at Bangedhara of Sunakothi VDC, Lalitpur, has concluded on Friday afternoon.
During the meeting, Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal presented, again, his own 3-point proposal and asked NC and UML leaders to come up with their proposal in writing for consensus clearly mentioning the name of their prime ministerial candidate, the PM´s aide Bishwodip Pandey informed. [break]
Stating that incumbent PM Baburam Bhattarai would be the ruling coalition´s PM candidate for the proposed national consensus government, Dahal demanded a written proposal from the opposition parties if they are not ready to accept the Maoist proposal.
The meeting was held in a bid to forge consensus on the way to end the existing political crisis and discuss issues including a full fiscal budget. Earlier in the morning, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav had called top leaders at Shital Niwas and pressed them for consensus at the earliest. [break]
