KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) slapped a fine of Rs 200,000 on the Tiptop samosa shop at Swayambhu in the capital.
During a routine market monitoring, the samosa shop in Kathmandu Metropolis-17 was found to be selling non-edible items and the fine was paid, said the Metropolis.

The head of the monitoring team, Awadhesh Kumar Jha said the Dudhbari (Sweetened Milk Balls in Pistachio-Flavored Cream Syrupmilk) produced in the shop was spoiled.
He mentioned that orders have been issued to refrain from storing inedible food items, improve employee’s behavior, and maintain the temperature control for dairy products in the shop’s factory.
The metropolis has instructed the owner of the shop to destroy all spoiled items.
