Remember everyone is self-conscious
Social anxiety is common, and many people experience it. If you’re at a party and feel really anxious about introducing yourself to new people, remember that other people might feel the same way. So go ahead and introduce yourself.
Stop trying to be perfect
Remember that no one is perfect and not everyone will like us nor does everyone need to. Ask yourself do you like everyone? Its okay to make mistakes as it makes us human. So stop trying to be perfect. Be yourself.

Shift your attention
Anxiety has a way of grabbing your attention and making you self critical. You also feel yourself getting hotter, red in the face and sweaty. But instead, try and focus your attention on what it is you may be doing, so if you are speaking to someone try and pay close attention to what they are saying rather than worrying about what the right thing is to say next.
Get yourself out there
Although it can be tempting to avoid social situations if you suffer from social anxiety it is important to get yourself out there. That means accepting invitations to go places and do things that make you uncomfortable. At the same time, you need to prepare yourself to properly handle being out there.
