KATHMANDU, June 16: The upgradation work of the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road in the Tiplyang section, under the National Pride Project Kaligandaki Corridor, has commenced.
Information Officer at the Beni-Jomsom-Korala project, Bishnu Chapagain, said that the road upgradation and expansion project has begun by demolishing the houses constructed by encroaching on the road in Raghu Ganga Rural Municipality-1, Tiplyang Bazaar.

Road expansion and upgradation work are being initiated on the 500-meter stretch of the market area in Tiplyang. Various sections of the 202-kilometer road from Maldunga, Prabhat to the Korala border in Mustang are being upgraded and blacktopped as part of the Beni-Jomsom-Korala project.
Currently, about 90 percent of the work on the road section from Galeshwor to Tatopani has been completed, which is scheduled to be finished by December 23, 2024, as per the agreement signed on May 18, 2017. It is estimated that the road upgradation of this section will cost around Rs 624 million.
