KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Early ticket bookings for public-vehicles to various places of the country from Kathmandu targeting Dashain festival will open from September 22.
A joint meeting of the Transport Management Department, transport entrepreneurs and traffic police held in the capital on Thursday decided to open the bookings to make it easy for the passengers.

After the meeting, Director General at the Department of Transport Management Gogal Bahadur Hamal said that the people should not have to pay higher fares on advance ticket booking.
In the meeting, transport entrepreneurs demanded the government to improve the roads at the earliest as people during Dashain go to nook and cranny.
To facilitate passengers during their departure from the valley, the department is preparing to set up citizen help desks at fourteen different places in the capital.
It is reported that almost three million leave Kathmandu to celebrate major Nepali festivals including Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
