TIA Immigration Office website hacked, recovery underway

The Department of Immigration has since managed to regain access to the website. Director General Govinda Rijal said that the site is now under control, and efforts are ongoing to fully recover and secure it.

KATHMANDU, July 10: Hackers gained control and uploaded irrelevant content on the website of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Immigration Office, officials confirmed on Thursday.



The Department of Immigration has since managed to regain access to the website. Director General Govinda Rijal said that the site is now under control, and efforts are ongoing to fully recover and secure it.

No official statement has been made regarding the identity of the hackers or the nature of the uploaded content. Authorities are investigating the breach.
