Thunder showers with thunderstorms likely today

KATHMANDU, March 10: The country has a general influence of westerly winds at present. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), there is a partial shower in the hilly areas of the country this morning. The weather in the rest of the country is generally clear.

The DHM has said that there will be partial to normal rain in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon. The weather will remain generally clear in the rest of the hilly areas with partly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of temporary rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of the country.

According to the DHM, it will be partly cloudy tonight in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to generally clear weather. There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki province.
