KIRAN CHEMJON (BEST GOALKEEPER)
Chemjong of Three Star conceded 14 goals throughout the league, one more than Gangaram Deuja of Nepal Army Club who had conceded the lowest number of goals. "I am very happy to get this award and I think I have given best performance in 18 out of 22 matches of the league," said the 23-year-old, who was also adjudged the best goalkeeper in the last two editions of the league.
Chemjong said that his further aim is to qualify for the final rounds of AFC President Cup to be held next month. Chemjong rated Police custodian Ritesh Thapa as his contender.
BIRAJ MAHARJAN (BEST DEFENDER)
Maharjan, the left-back, was a key player in Three Star´s path to the title. He is also renowned for overlapping. Maharjan, who was declared best defender for the first time in the league, assisted four goals and featured for the full time in 19 out of 22 league matches.
"I am very happy for the award as the team has also secured the championship. The award tome is a fair evaluation of my performance in the league," said the 23-year-old.
He also opined that seven point lead achieved by his side at the end of first round became very much crucial in the super league rounds.
Maharjan opined that Rabin Shrestha of Nepal Police Club, Jitendra Karki of Nepal Army and Sagar Thapa of Friends were the other contenders for the position.
JAGJEET SHRESTHA (BEST MIDFIELDER)
Shrestha is the left winger of NIBL Friends Club. He scored four goals in the league and made three assists. He has good ability in cross an acute passes. "I am not much interested in individual prizes though I was hopeful of getting the award," said the 20-year-old.
"There were big expectations from the team since our arrival," said Shrestha who joined Friends in the last season along with Sagar Thapa, Nirajan Khadka and Deepak Bhusal. "I tried to fulfill those expectations," said Shrestha, who had rated Bhola Silwal of Police as the contender for the award.
BHARAT KHAWAS (BEST FORWARD)
The 23-year-old forward is the third highest scorer in the league with 12 goals to his name. Santosh Sahukhala (17 goals) of Three Star and Yona Elias Ndabila (16 goals) of Saraswati are ahead of Khawas.
"It is a memorable day for me," said Khawas, who was also crowned the best forward in the last edition. "It is not due to my lone effort that I have got the award but due to support from my teammates and I thank everyone for this," said Khawas.
Khawas, who rated Amar Dangol of RCT, Santosh Sahukhala of Three Star and Anil Gurung of MMC as his contenders.
PRADIP HUMAGAIN (BEST COACH)
Humagain of Three Star was assigned the head coach of the team some seven months ago. This is the first time that the 31-year-old was taking charge of a top tire club.
"I was looking for an opportunity since the last six years," said Humagain, adding, he was sure of getting big achievement soon after his appointment as the club´s coach. "Firstly, I thank ANFA for providing me the C-level coaching course. I would not been coaching without taking the course," said Humagain.
