KHOTANG, Aug 31: Three people have been seriously injured in Aiselukharka Rural Municipality-3 of Khotang due to a lightning strike on Friday.
According to the Area Police Office, Aiselukharka, 21-year-old Denis Bujel, 6-year-old Anisha Bhujel, and 15-year-old Samiksha Darji have been severely injured. Denis and Anisha, who are cousins, along with Samiksha, were injured while inside their home.
Lightning strike kills one, three injured
The three, who were rendered unconscious by the lightning, were taken to the primary health center in Aiselukharka after they could not be treated at the local health institution. Health personnel have reported that they are now out of danger.
Aiselukharka Rural Municipality spokesperson and Ward Chair of Ward No. 3, Tekendra Rajbhandari, informed that lightning caused significant damage to electrical equipment.
