Three Nepalis detained in UP

LUCKNOW, Aug 19: Three Nepalis, wanted in several cases in the neighboring country, have been arrested from Uttar Pradesh´s Maharajganj district, police said.



Ramesh Kewat, Riyaz Fakir and Dildar were arrested on Tuesday in Nautanwa area of Maharajganj, about 350 km from here. Kewat was wanted in six cases of murder, including that of Maoist leader Vinod Upadhyay in Nepal.



A .9 mm pistol and a number of cartridges were recovered from their possession, police said.
