Three murders in a week in Siraha

LAHAN, Sept 4: Three people have been murdered in Siraha in the past seven days.



In the latest incident, a person was killed by an unidentified group in Baraharamal. The slain person has been identified as 50-year-old Bilas Mukhiya of Kalabazaar-1, Kalyanpur, the police said. Locals informed the police after finding his body in Baraharamal-8 on Friday afternoon. Mukhiya had been out of contact with his family since Thursday.



Police suspect Mukhiya could have been thrashed to death as there were beating marks on his body.



Three days ago, 60-year-old Ramratan Yadav was murdered in Lagadigoth-1 while 13-year-old Arjun Kamati of Bhaluwahi village in Hanumannagar was killed on Thursday. Police said all three murders were of similar nature but they are yet to identify those involved in the killings.



DSP Sanu Thapaliya said police arrested four persons on Friday on suspicion of Kamati´s murder. The arrested are Pappu Kamati, Gulai Kamati, Ramesh Kamati and Amulya Upadhyaya of Bhaluwahi.
