Three killed in road accidents

KATHMANDU, April 6: Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in different parts of the country. According to police, Murai Gupta, 40, was killed when a truck, Na 3 Kha 2237, hit a scooter, Lu 18 Pa 1657, at Gonah-7 in Rupandehi district.

Police said they have impounded both the vehicles and arrested the truck driver. Likewise, 23-year-old Sandip Dong of Heutada Municipality-16 was killed when two bikes—Na 16 Pa 8384 and Na 12 Pa 8525—collided head-on at Hetauda-4.

Bhimshen Thapa, 27, and Narayan Thapa, 25 of Heutada Municipality-16 were injured in the mishap and are being treated at the Hetauda-based Churehill Hospital.


Similarly in Kailai, a woman died after she was hit by a motorcycle, Se 3 Pa 6175, at Dododhara-4. The deceased is Shanta BK, 45, according to police.
