TANAHUN, July 20: Three persons died and 20 others were injured in two separate road accidents that occurred in Tanahun Wednesday afternoon.

Two persons died in the accident that took place at Jamune VDC and another a third person was killed at the road accident in Kamalbari of Ghansikuwa VDC, confirmed Superintendent of Police (SP) at Tanahun District Police Office, Surendra Bahadur Gurung.

Taxi driver Deu Bahadur Thapa of Arjunchaupari VDC and his passenger Mana Thapa of Byas municipality-5 died when a Damauli-bound van (Ga 2 Cha 2307) from Pokhara and the taxi (Ha 1 Ja 4325) collided head-on at Jamune-3, Gundadi.

Critically injured Deu Bahadur breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Damauli-based Ratnahari Memorial Hospital while Mana lost her life on the way to Pokhara, SP Gurung said.

Likewise, bus driver Deepak Nahaki of Dhuwakot, Gorkha died when a Mugling-bound bus (Gha 1 Kha 495) he was driving rammed a truck (Na 1 Kha 7984) coming from opposite direction.

Other 20 passengers of the bus were injured. Among them, three are undergoing treatment at Damauli Hospital and 17 at Ramhari Memorial Hospital. RSS
