KATHMANDU, May 17: At least three people were injured in a khukuri attack following a clash between rival factions of Tarun Dal — the youth wing of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) — during its ongoing district convention in Lamjung.
Eyewitnesses said tensions escalated after one faction attempted to disrupt the convention shortly after it began at the district headquarters. Disputes among youth members regarding the convention had reportedly been simmering for several days.

According to one participant, a group from outside entered the venue and tried to halt the proceedings. When the organizing team resisted, the situation quickly turned violent, resulting in injuries.
