Three, including comedian Mahara, die in motorcycle accidents

Three people injured in separate road accidents in Kailali have died during treatment.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Three people injured in separate road accidents in Kailali have died during treatment. According to Darshan Khadka, assistant spokesperson for the District Police Office, the dead include comedian Hikmat Mahara.


Mahara, 30, of Shuklaphanta Municipality-11, Kanchanpur, died during treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi when a motorcycle met with an accident along the Bhimdatta Highway in Godawari Municipality-4. Mahara had gained popularity after participating in the second season of Comedy Champion.

Another deceased has been identified as Binod Chaudhary, 22, of Tikapur Municipality-1, who was injured in a motorcycle (Su Pra 01-008 Pa 0813) accident on the Hulaki Road in Tikapur Municipality. He died while undergoing treatment at Tikapur Hospital.


Similarly, Kamlesh Chaudhary, 40, of Kailari Rural Municipality-3, died during treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital. The accident took place when a motorcycle (SuPra 010011 Pa 7071) met with an accident in Depo Bazar, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-18.
