Three home-bound Nepali workers robbed

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Sept 12: Three people from Marma-5, Salyan district who were on their way home for the Dashain festival after working in India have been robbed at Brahmadev Bazaar in Kanchanpur district. The town lies close to the Nepal-India border. 

They were returning home from Paudi Garhwal, the Uttarakhand State of India for the festival. Those robbed include Dev Bahadur Rana, Dalbir Rana and Nanda Ram Rana of Marma. It is said they were robbed by fellow Nepalis. 

Police in Kanchanpu stated that the victims were given drinks laced with intoxicants by the culprits. After they became unconscious, the culprits and robbed them of around Rs 85,000. Police said they have detained some suspects and investigation is underway.
