A press meet was organized by Aesthetic Dance Studio on Monday at National Cultural Cooperation, Jamal to introduce and give elaborated details about upcoming dance festival.
A dance of Gods and Goddesses
In the press meet, it was informed that Aesthetic Dance Studio will bring together different forms of dance as a three-day festival, celebrating art through expression. The festival is scheduled for July 4 to July 6 at National Cultural Cooperation.
In the festival, one can witness different forms of dances through different artists from Nepal and India, discussion on the challenges in this field and exchange of ideas along with feedback.
Bharatnatyam dance teacher Arupa Leheri, Kathak dance teacher Lina Malakar among others were present in the press meet.
Meanwhile, Malakar said that she was really happy to be part of the festival. She added, “I am willing to teach what I have learned from my experiences from India.”
The three-day long festival will comprise: On the first day classical dances will be performed, on the second day the dance festival will be formally inaugurated and on the third day a seminar will be held to talk about challenges in the dance field and how to overcome them.
There will also be training for Bharatnatyam dance for 15 days as per the organizer.
