HETAUDA, June 17: The police have nabbed three persons in possession of over 143 kilogrammes of marijuana from Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-11, along the East West Highway.

A team from the District Police Office, acting on a tip-off, made the arrest during a security check of a vehicle (Na 1 Kha 9910) where the contraband drug was hidden, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jayeshwar Rimal.
The vehicle was headed for Hetauda from Manahari. The arrested persons have been identified as Sanak Bahadur Tamang, the vehicle driver and his helper Somey Tamang, both of Bahrabise Municipality in Sindhupalchok district and Sabin Tamang of Raksirang Rural Municipality-1 in Makawanpur. Further Investigation into the matter is underway, said Rimal.
