Three arrested for forgery

KATHMANDU, Nov 30: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Thursday nabbed three people for using fake labor stickers issued by the Ministry of Labor and the seal of Department of Foreign Employment to run a foreign employment agency.



According to Krishna Kumar Mahat, Deputy Superintendent of the Police (DSP), a team of CIB Police arrested the three after it received complaints from various quarters. [break]



The arrested are Bungsang Dorje Lama, 26, an employee at Future International, Mahesh Adhikari, 33, an agent for Future International and Wise International and Abhaya Pokhrel, 28, a representative of Glory Overseas.



The police said Adhikari was involved in selling labor stickers for Rs 15,000 per piece and Dorjee placed labor stickers on the passports collected from various people.



Adhikari also sold stickers to Pokhrel for Rs 2,000 per piece. The police seized 46 passports of different people, five rubber stamps, 26 labor stickers and other related documents from the three.



The arrested have been detained at the Metropolitan Police Range office at Hanumandhoka for further investigation.
