Thimi lynching death toll reaches 3

KATHMANDU, July 7: Basant Lama, a youngster who was beaten up by the locals Dhunchopakha in Bhaktapur on Tuesday on kidnapping allegations, was pronounced dead Friday afternoon at the B & B Hospital.



The locals had thrashed four youngsters, who of whom died on the same day. Lama, 15, of Sanothimi, was under treatment along with Saroj Rai.



Lama was unconscious since the incident. Rai, whose condition has improved, is also unconscious, according to hospital.



It was fight between Lama and Subash Adhikari of Bode, who is under police custody, that resulted in the incident.



Sabin Mahat Chhetri, a grade XII student at Adarsha Janapremi Higher Secondary School at Kaushaltar and resident of Pepsicola Chhapro and Jiban Gaha Magar, a tenth grader of Koteshwar Saraswoti Secondary School were earlier two casualties of the incident.
