KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota has admitted that he also has shortcomings in the work of formulating quality laws.
Speaker Sapkota said that a quality law was not prepared by making full use of one's own abilities in a creative manner. Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Wednesday on the occasion of the International Day for Universal Access to Information, he complained that even though he tried to formulate quality laws in the House of Representatives, the right environment for it could not be created.

Speaker Sapkota said that he conducted meetings from 10 AM till 10 PM for the making of quality law. He mentioned that in the last budget session, 32 laws were passed, but there are shortcomings in the work of lawmaking. Sapkota said, "Our effort in creating quality laws also has shortcomings. We have not been able to deeply imbibe the matter of making quality laws.
He said, "It also applies to me that my own ability to do creative work was not tested. Many pushed only when the session came to an end. The state has paid the tax.”
