The Power of Poverty, Money and Love

When I think about (poverty, money and love), to my mind I can sense out that all of three are interrelated to each others. Before I’d like to write something about these issues, I remember a powerful quote by Bill Gates, “If you are born poor, it’s not your mistake, but if you die poor, it’s your mistake". Time and again I don’t know why, this quote is hit in my mind like a fire in a positive way rather than not in negative way. However, according to the World Economic Forum, it is painful to say that 263 million people could face extreme poverty in 2022 across the world. Let us do meaningful work in this regard so that poverty can be eradicated to some extent.

And, of course, money is a medium of exchange; it allows people to obtain what they need to live. For instance, if someone has cows but needs bananas, they must find someone who not only has bananas, but also the desire for orange. What even if that individual finds someone who has a need for orange but no bananas and can only offer potatoes? To get orange, that person must find someone who has bananas and wants potatoes so on and so forth. This is how the power of money can takeplace in our daily lives.

Not surprisingly, greed for money is everything when it comes to causing all evils. To be honest with you, tellingly, what I’ve seen that greed is selfish; it doesn’t care about others like family, friends, relatives and partners. Sadly, everyone is guided by their selfish nature, as nowadays I can see in the eyes of many people. This must be stopped.

But who cares? On the one hand, in 2022 there was a record of 2668 people on the billionaires list that included 236 newcomers. On the other hand, at the world level, the proportion of adults aged 35-39 who are divorced or separated has doubled, passing from 2% in the 1970s to 4% in the 2000s.”

My simple point is that we’re doing phenomenal work in developing the world in terms of AI, metaverse, fin-tech, consumerism, capitalism, investment, infrastructure, food and health and the list goes on. But, at the same time, we’re destroying our relationships too in the name of so-called modern transformation at par level. Quite interestingly, we shouldn’t forget about the true meaning of love. Here it is relevant to quote Helen Keller, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched — they must be felt with the heart.” I don’t know why when I read this beautiful quote, down to my heart every time I feel so much love for everything.

To sum up, I’d like to end this piece by saying that, “Let’s do the something special in our life so that poverty, money and love should be enacted in a meaningful way.”
