Cinemas have had a busy 2018, with a huge and rather eclectic list of films coming out this year - from superhero sequels to chilling horrors. 8. The Nun
For anyone who is not a horror buff, The Nun's official synopsis reads: "When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate.

7. Incredibles 2
Disney's Incredibles sequel took 14 years to come to fruition after the success of the 2004 movie.
Though there was a huge gap in time for the movie to arrive, the sequel picks up in the direct aftermath of the first Incredibles movie.
6. A Star Is Born
The remake starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, who also directed the film, has been lauded by critics and fans alike.
The pair have been tipped for plenty of Oscar awards, and Express.co.uk's own review gave it five stars.
5. Bohemian Rhapsody
The queen biopic may not have fared well with critics, but fans were delighted with it.
Rami Malek stars as Queen's frontman Freddie Mercury whose life inspired the movie and despite some deviations from the truth, Malek has received plenty of praise for his portrayal.
4. Avengers: Infinity War
Unsurprisingly, Avengers: Infinity War is in the top five, with its devastating ending for many fan-favourite heroes.
The upcoming Avengers: Endgame will likely undo the damage from Infinity War, and fans have clearly taken to Google to posit their theories about how.
3. Venom
Tom Hardy took up the mantle of Venom in the Sony adaptation of the classic Marvel anti-hero.
Despite its synopsis reviews from critics and fans, Venom has performed exceedingly well at the box office.

2. Deadpool 2
Ryan Reynold's injected the plethora of comic book movies with a dose of R-rated humour.
The sequel featured exposition on some fan-favourites like Dopinder, and also introduced the first ever same-sex superhero couple on screen.
1. Black Panther
In the top slot is Black Panther, one of Marvel's best movies of the year, which has been nominated for the best picture award at the Golden Globes.
Though many Marvel fans would expect Infinity War to top the search charts, T'Challa has bested Cap and the gang with his solo outing in Black Panther as the most searched for movie of 2018.
