KATHMANDU, Aug 17: With the depiction of the rise and fall of Shah dynasty of Nepal in the documentary, ‘The last Monarch’ has established itself as the longest running Nepali documentary movie to be screened in theaters. The documentary was released on July 19, and has been successfully screened for four weeks.

‘The Last Monarch’ primarily focuses on the regime of the last ruler of the Shah dynasty, Gyanendra Shah, whose administration was of a peculiar interest, as he was crowned immediately after the Royal massacre of Nepal and the 240 years long monarch was terminated during his period.[break]

Attributing this content being the major boost for its long run, the associates of the movie specified that the content was able to appeal large audience, especially with the non-regular movie viewers showing particular interest.

Following such a welcoming response from the audience, the 80-minute long documentary is set to expand its audience by screening in places outside Kathmandu and even in the international platform.
