Shanti Thatal, Darjeeling-based singer presented the tunes of ‘Muna Madan’ during Paleti. The performance was held at Paleti’s regular venue, Nepalaya’s ‘r’ sala, Kalikasthan on Friday. She was joined by two singers, Bimala Century and Meena Niraula.
Thatal composed the tunes of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota’s ‘Muna Madan’ around the late 70s. She even performed those in Gangtok, Sikkim. Despite the tunes being nearly forgotten, she performed those songs with re-composing the tunes because of Nepalaya’s request.
