The agitating Tharu groups which met Saturday morning to discuss its response to the government´s call for dialogue took the decision to sit for dialogue.
"We are ready to hold talks but the government also should be ready to address the demands," he said. He, however, said the protests are still continuing.
The banda (general strike) called by the dissident Tharu group entered 11th day on Saturday. The group has been demanding that the government implement the six-point agreement signed with it on March 15.
Peace Minister Janardan Sharma said Friday that most of the demands have already been implemented and two crucial demands related to amendment in the constitution and laws are in the process of implementation.
