Issuing a press statement, the TKS also expressed condolence over the deaths in the clash between squatters and the police personnel on Friday. It said the Maoist move was motivated by ill-intention.
“Kailali district is the area of Tharuhat. This area has long been witnessing encroachment from hill people and the emigrants from India,” says the statement. Banke, Bardiya, Kanchanpur and Kailali are predominantly inhabited by Tharus.
